CCC Manzanillo III

Objective

Installation, configuration, local testing, and link testing of the equipment for the administrative, operational, control, and instrumentation networks of the project.

Project Description

Commissioning of the communications networks for the control, instrumentation, operational, and administrative areas of the MNZ III complex:

  • Design of engineering and architectures for communications networks for both Transmission and Generation.
  • Equipment selection without detailed specification provided by CFE.
  • Coordination of personnel activities, as well as subcontractors.
  • Configuration of equipment for links with CENACE, Administrative Network, Operational Network, and its management.
  • Participation in clarification meetings and project briefings.
  • Functionality testing of the equipment in general together with CENACE.
  • Preparation of technical documentation for acceptance of completed work.
  • Supply of fiber optic cables, installation, splicing, and OTDR and optical power tests.
  • Supply of required equipment for special situations in the ECS system.
  • Installation and configuration of FW equipment according to project needs.
  • Design of heat maps for the installation of WiFi 7 APs.
  • Supply and installation of patch cords and fiber jumpers.

Objective

Connect the new substation using state-of-the-art technology through fiber optics as the communication medium.

Project Description

Commissioning of SDH equipment (ECI Telecom BG-30), Cisco equipment (2911, 3750 L3, AS5505), and RFL Gard 8000 teleprotection, including the following activities:

  • Project consulting and engineering.
  • Assembly of 4 equipment container cabinets required for the project.
  • FAT testing of proposed equipment.
  • Fiber splicing in ODFs, transition boxes, and splice closures.
  • Optical STM-1 tributary testing.
  • Electrical 2Mbps tributary testing.
  • General functionality testing of the equipment.
  • Ethernet port testing 10/100/1000 Mbps.
  • Teleprotection trip testing.
  • Ethernet services testing.

Objective

Project Description

Supply of ECI Telecom BG-30 multiplexer equipment and IMC optical converters, including the following activities:

  • Support in electrical 2Mbps tributary testing.
  • Support in general functionality testing of the equipment.
  • Support in testing Ethernet 10/100 Mbps, V24, FXO, FXS, and E&M ports.
  • Support in testing electrical-to-optical converters.

Objective

Project supervision and configuration of Alcatel equipment supplied to the new substation.

Project Description

Engineering and supervision of the communications scope, configuration of Alcatel SDH and PDH equipment models 1660SM and 1511BA, including the following activities:

  • Survey of required materials for installation of all cabinets across the different substations.
  • Development of the connectivity engineering for the overall project.
  • Supervision of received materials and equipment at the substation.
  • Supervision of cabinet installation and power feeding.
  • Coordination of SAT testing for communications equipment.
  • Configuration and commissioning of Alcatel 1660SM and 1511BA equipment.
  • Installation of expansions required by the project on Alcatel equipment.
  • Supply and installation of coaxial cable, fiber jumpers, telephone cable, and supervisory control cable required for communications.
  • Advisory on missing items and proposals for delivery of communications equipment.

Project Description

SAT testing of Alcatel-Lucent SDH equipment model 1660SM, including the following activities:

  • Electrical 2Mbps tributary testing.
  • General functionality testing of the equipment.
  • Ethernet port testing 10/100 Mbps.
  • Optical tributary testing.
  • Installation and testing of required expansions at S.E. Pueblo Nuevo (collateral).
